Beginners Yoga On The Go – Part Two
Travel as Part of Inspiration
I’m excited to share more about my experiences on the beautiful island of Rhodes and my yoga journey there. Temperatures above 26 degrees Celsius in late October? Priceless! The stunning, clear Aegean Sea and the uncrowded yet cozy beaches create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Usually, by mid-November, Rhodes’ season is considered over. From mid-October until the end of the season, the island is wonderfully calm and pleasant—ideal for those who prefer to avoid bustling streets and large crowds. These conditions are perfect for travel and yoga.
Practicing Yoga Without All the Necessary Gear
You don’t need a lot of gear to enjoy yoga. In hotels and most accommodations, there’s always a suitable spot for practice. The key is having the right mindset and a motivating spark to inspire you. After all, yoga is about you—your body and spirit. When they are in balance, everything else falls into place.
Embracing Spontaneity
Most of my trips are planned, especially as a working mother raising my child alone. But sometimes, I steal moments for myself. It’s possible; it just takes a bit of reorganization. Being impulsive means being alive! With all my responsibilities, I know I need to recharge. A happy mother leads to happy children.
Yoga Without Boundaries
As a beginner in yoga, daily practice is incredibly important to me. Since committing to my practice three months ago, I haven’t missed a single day. Even a short 15 to 20-minute session makes a significant difference. I just don’t feel right if I skip it. Because of this commitment, one of the first things I consider when traveling is finding a place to practice my yogabeatflow. I am highly motivated to reach the best version of myself, and nothing is holding me back. On the contrary! I feel so inspired and determined that my soul is smiling. My body feels joyful, and everything within me is dancing. I truly feel strong.
Fitness and Yoga: A Balanced Approach
Strength—both mental and physical—is vital for our well-being. It’s not just about physical power; taking care of our bodies significantly impacts our health, confidence, and self-esteem. Incorporating exercise into our daily routines is essential for present success and a smart investment in the future. I always make time for fitness whenever my schedule permits. Like many of us, I juggle numerous commitments each day. However, with a well-structured plan, this isn’t a challenge. The gym was the second place in Rhodes where I practiced yoga. Most hotels in Rhodes have fitness areas, making it convenient for travelers. While the beach is an appealing option, the gym is ideal for combining workouts with yoga. Plus, you’ll likely find yoga mats readily available!
Yoga in the Gym
Why not? At one of the places where I stayed, there was a small but pleasant gym. Interestingly, it was just me and another lady practicing yoga together. So yes, yoga in a gym is a wonderful experience! They even had mats—comfort is a nice bonus.

Staying true to myself, I engaged in a yoga practice that included my favorite poses. I still have much to improve, so I practice daily and explore new poses on weekends when I have more time. Here are some poses I performed that are perfect for beginners like me. I always practice slowly and precisely, especially for my spine. I don’t push or strain myself. While I strive for maximum results in my work, yoga allows me to embrace a different approach. Patience and practice lead to the best results, but not at the cost of time. With yoga, I focus on progressing at my own pace to achieve optimal benefits.
